Founded by local brothers Antony and Andy Taylor
As the cornerstone of the Sands Complex this superbly located venue was founded by local brothers Antony and Andy Taylor and with the family also being prominent racehorse owners and breeders in Yorkshire it was only natural that the bar was given a theme that notes the family’s achievements in the Sport of Kings.
Unique kit out
It certainly makes for a unique kit out with massive canvas photographs adorning the walls showing celebrations with the likes of Liz Hurley, Sir Anthony McCoy and Lester Piggott at Epsom on Derby day, victorious away days at the Dubai World Cup Carnival and a whole host of other smaller days in the sun.

As proud as the brothers are over their unique theme they fully understand though that a Bar Kitchen is only as good as its food, drink and ambience – and they believe that the wide ranging menus and expert, professional staff both in the kitchen and front of house combine to make the experience a memorable one.

If traditional Scarborough fish and chips are your bag then look no further with our mouthwatering locally sourced fayre fried to perfection. However with breakfasts to satisfy all palates, a raft of different flavoured pies from the national award winning Great North Pie Co, baguettes, burgers, pizzas and many other of the nation’s favourite dishes prepared and cooked on site choice abounds.

It’s much the same drinks-wise with all the hot favourites available as well as a full house of cold ones both non-alcoholic and alcoholic. Yes, whether it’s coffee (no doubt with a slice of delicious locally baked cake) or a quenching coke, gin and tonic or draught beer we have it all and we have it all between the hours of 9am – 11pm everyday except Christmas day (on which limited hours apply). And all served in our large downstairs area, smaller mezzanine upstairs area or external patio just yards from the spectacular seas.

It really is a case of more the merrier, as well, with our dog-friendly policy making us the place to be with no exclusions.
But that’s not all because we also have several large and modern televisions showing a range of channels throughout the day. Channels such as BT Sport that means you can pick of our extensive menus whilst watching - amongst other events - Premier League, Champions League and FA Cup football. But that’s not all because we also have a policy whereby the terrestrial channels are constantly monitored for significant events sporting such as Wimbledon tennis and the British Open golf and non-sporting such as political coverage and the latest regional and national news.

At Taylor’s it’s fair to say that whatever your persuasion and whether it’s for our one of our Open Air Theatre pre and post-concert night parties, a big match live on the box, a Saturday steak night, one of our frequent live music nights or simply a quiet time spent taking in the spectacular castle and sea views we’ve nailed it.
